Bill Charlap/Renee Rosnes Live Set

If you haven’t come across this yet, definitely check out this two-piano live set from Bill Charlap and Renee Rosnes on the NPR show Jazzset.  Charlap is one of my favorite pianists right now, and when I heard Rosnes with the Ron Carter quartet back in April she absolutely tore the sold out concert hall to pieces.  The husband and wife pair play some stunning music.

 

Renee Rosnes Quartet from the Vanguard Tonight

NPR has a live concert webcast of the Renee Rosnes Quartet from the Village Vangaurd tonight beginning at 8 Central.  Dig the link here.  Joining the pianist will be Steve Nelson on vibes – who is often heard on Dave Holland’s more recent albums, Peter Washington on bass and Lewis Nash on drums.  Should be good.
